Beverly A. Gordon is the Vice President/Vice Chairperson and is a member of the Board. She works closely with the President/Chairperson, acts in the president’s/chairperson’s stead in his/her absence, and assists him/her in the discharging of his/her leadership duties and responsibilities. The Vice President/Vice Chairperson reports to, and works with the Chair and other staff, participates closely with the Chair to develop and implement office transition plans, and effectively performs all other tasks and duties assigned by the President/CEO/Chairperson and/or the Board of Directors.
Beverly, a highly motivated professional executive, brings to the table, over fifteen years of experience in her varied fields of expertise. Such fields include Recruitment, Placement, Sales, Marketing & Administration, Client Relations & Management.
Dating back from 2009 until currently, Beverly has worked for Career Source Broward in Hollywood, as an Employment Security Specialist. Here duties and responsibilities there include providing individual, group, and vocational or employment counseling services to dislocated workers, Veterans, and Welfare transitioning participants. She evaluates clients for job readiness, makes recommendations to necessary workshops to enhance their skills and abilities and also specializes in enabling clients to attain their Vocational goals and employability plans. Critiques and reviews resumes for job placement, coordinates onsite/offsite recruitments and assumes the role of Supervisor in his/her absence.
From 2005 to 2008, Beverly worked as a Recruiter and Placement Specialist for Cross Country TravCorps in Boca Raton, where she worked tirelessly reach out to, recruit, and place several Registered Nurses and other Medical Personnel from all over the United States.
From 2002 to 2005, Beverly worked as a Customer Service/Reservation Representative for Vacation Village Daily Management, Inc. located in Weston, reconciling all company accounts through her astute Accounting methods. Her expertise also afforded the opportunity to work for John Hancock Mutual and Primerica Financial Services where she handled all areas of sales in the insurance and securities industry and further served as Executive Administrative Assistant to the President and Vice President of Operations for Ridgewood Holding Company (New York and New Jersey offices) and prior to that served as Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the Sr. Vice President of Sales for Mutual Life Insurance Company.
From 2001 to 2002, Beverly worked as a Collections Manager for SBA Network Services in Boca Raton. Her role there included supervisor duties, assisted in creation of collection policies, created monthly reports, was part of the Human Resources staff, worked in billing and audits division, accounts resolution and payment planning.
Beverly’s professional training and education include courses of study such as Accounting and RN Prerequisites from Broward Community College. She equally holds an Associate Degree in Credit Business from the National Association of Credit Management, is a licensed Life, Health, Securities and Mortgage Agent, and is also a Certified Crisis Counselor.
Beverly’s vast experiences have enabled her to master the skills to be self-motivated, detail-oriented, goal-driven, comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment, work productively in a multi-task environment, successful in solving complex problems, express strong and effective oral and written communication, among others.
